Here I am all the way down in Florida and what a pleasant surprise to come across pictures of St. Patrick's Church in Athens. Not only was I baptized in this church back in 1955 but I also made my first communion there in the early 60's. I will have to go through some old pictures and send them to the website. I was so sad to learn it had been destroyed by fire. I remember the Friday night movies down in the basemant of St. Patricks. It was a beautiful church and I have thought about it many, many times over the years. Thank you so much for bring back such wonderful memories of the parrish. Tuesday afternoon we were let out of school at 2:00 to attend Cathechism class. Down the school hill we went to the convent for class. What great memories!

Any photos of the old St. Patrick's Church on Franklin Street you could post to your site. I was baptist and grew up in that church and was so sad when it burned down.

Hello to Sr. Mary and Everyone at St. Patrick’s! We are so excited to see your wonderful website “up and running.” The website certainly helps us to feel more connected and closer to all of you. We enjoyed seeing all the photos. The calendar and bulletin will be helpful to us going forward. The article in The Evangelist was inspiring and reflects the exceptional welcoming spirit of Sr. Mary and the people of St. Patrick’s. You are all disciples of Jesus and we always feel welcome. We would like to thank all of you for your prayers and support for our granddaughter Alivia Amber Lovell. We have great news to tell you. The tests completed today show that Alivia has no leukemia. Alivia is doing so well that she is scheduled to come home to West Sand Lake with her family on July 30th, after being at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina for nine months. Alivia still needs our prayers, since her leg bones have been weakened as a result of the previous treatments and leukemia. She is just starting to stand with a walker and she will be undergoing physical therapy and continuing medication when she comes home. Because of your prayers we are witnessing one of God’s miracles in progress! With warmest regards, Adrienne and Bob Buckingham

Wonderful website! What a fine way to keep updated on all our parish activities. I anticipate more links to activities such as young adult events, RCIA, retreats, and maybe some theological or bible study groups. Links to other parishes in our River Cluster might be of interest, also. Thanks for all the hard work, Randy.

I am so pleased that we are able to communicate with members of our parish family as well as friends and neighbors, near and far, through our new web site. Many thanks to Randy Finley who not only designed this wonderful means of "staying in touch" but also keeps it going. The Parish Family Of Saint Patrick Church welcomes everyone...so please do not hesitate to become part of us and know that we are here to bring the love of Christ to all people. Sr. Mary Mazza, CND
